In January the U.K.’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) watchdog put a stop to three adverts which were run by global betting and gaming provider Ladbrokes. The ASA ruled against running these adverts as they felt that they depicted gambling as being related to being tough, showing reckless behavior and taking risks.

A new television advert has now been launched by Ladbrokes for its online casino at Ladbrokes Casino., a world leader in online betting and gaming for poker, online bingo, sports betting as well as race horse betting enthusiasts and where players can choose from over 350 online casino games.

The new television advert showing a man playing hide and seek with a giant Sifaka lemur in a city that looks almost deserted, was launched in the UK this week. The commercial ends with the crescendo “don’t hide from thrills, seek them out at Ladbrokes Casino”.

The million-pound campaign was formulated by M&C Saatchi, one of the world’s youngest and fastest growing global advertising agency networks and will run on terrestrial as well as digital satellite television channels. Hopefully this new television advert will not once again fall foul of the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority, which is there to make sure that all adverts meets the very high standards that are laid down in the advertising code

Ciaran O’Brian, who is Spokesperson for Ladbrokes said that their earlier award-winning ads were very popular and that they were sure that these new ads would prove to be as popular and successful as the previous ones.
