November 26, 2011 - Microgaming and Ladbrokes Sign Deal for Danish and Spanish Sites
Following the news of the Spanish Government's recent announcement that online gambling operators may acquire Spanish online gambling licenses from January 1st, 2012, Ladbrokes, the top UK based betting company announced its intention to enter the Spanish and Danish online gambling markets.
Ladbrokes has also announced an agreement with Microgaming, the most respected and popular provider of online casino software provider, for its online casino and poker products.
LBApuestas, Ladbroke's site for the Spanish market, is ready to go live as soon as it receives its license and will be offering a large suite of popular online casino titles from Microgaming's Flash and Download casino clients.
Ladbrokes also intends leasing Microgaming's online poker software which will enable online gamblers in Spain and Denmark to enjoy Microgaming's vast selection of poker cash games and tournaments.
Andy Clucus, Microgaming's Head of Business Development, revealed that they have had a long and successful relationship with Ladbrokes and are thrilled that they will be entering the exciting Spanish and Danish markets with the betting company. He added that once Ladbrokes is granted a license it will be in a position to offer players the most competitive selection of products.
Ladbrokes is also very satisfied with the deal and complimented the strong relationship that they have with Microgaming.
Corporate and Strategic Development Director for Ladbrokes, Adam Greenblatt, said that their players have always reacted very well to Microgaming's innovative products. He added that they are thrilled to be working with Microgaming as they target new licenses in Spain and Denmark.
