In a powerful head to head race between two of the biggest software providers in the industry, Playtech has just announced that it will be adding a brand new product to its platform. Playtech is hoping that by introducing sports betting to its online casino game platforms, it will be able to downgrade the spectacular announcement made by CryptoLogic recently regarding a new games package due to launch at the end of the year.

Earlier this week, CryptoLogic said that it had signed a deal with Paramount Digital Entertainment to create twenty new slot games featuring some of Hollywood’s most popular characters, including Ferris Beuler and Forrest Gump. Cryptologic’s strategy has been to bring online players themes and characters that they are familiar with in order to make the brand even more popular and appealing.

Playtech’s online casino players will soon be able to have access to a wide range of sports betting products to increase the entertainment and reward elements of their gaming sessions. Mor Weitzer, Chief Executive Officer of Playtech, said that the new product should attract even more players than ever before.

One market analyst who examined Playtech’s latest move said: “Playtech has put themselves in the position to really take over and be the leader when it comes to online gambling software. It will be hard for the other companies to keep up if the sports betting software is top quality.”
