Poker Host officially moved over to the Cake Poker Network

Febuary 26, 2009 - Poker Host officially moved over to the Cake Poker Network

Earlier this week, the online poker site Poker Host officially moved over to the Cake Poker Network. Poker Host was previously a part of Microgaming. They are not the only company to switch away from Microgaming. Doyle's Room made the switch to the same network as Poker Host. What does this mean current Poker Host members.

The change will mean that customers must immediately switch over to the new supported client software, as the old ones will not function. It is also worth noting that the online poker room's Terms of Service have been updated. Members of the past Poker Host will not have to adjust much to the new client, as it will have most of the same features the old client had. The biggest change to the members experience will be in the members from the United States, as they will now be able to join in on all the fun Poker Host has to offer.

Poker Host has officially confirmed that this move happened on Monday morning. Site officials explained why the move was so important. “We’re always looking for new ways to improve ourselves as a poker room and provide our services worldwide.” Poker Host is already accepting players from the United States. This is great news for players in the United States, as they can finally experience Poker Host like the rest of the world has been for so long.

Microgaming isn't lost and forgotten by any means. The powerhouse online gaming site has just recently picked up Ladbrokes, Carlos Poker and the iPoker Network. It is also worth mentioning that according to PokerScout, Microgaming Network is the 12th largest by ring game volume. Microgaming is running very close behind The Cake Poker Network which is the 9th largest by cash game player volume.
