March 15, 2009 - Software Protecting Online Casino Gamblers Due To US Failure To Do So
The number of online gamblers has risen dramatically in the past few years. However, these online gamblers do not realize that they are far from safe from online gambling cheats.
Instead of the US government trying to protect the online casino players from the danger of being cheated they have tried to outlaw online gambling.
The good news for all those online gamblers who have become too relaxed in placing bets online without being aware of the potential danger of being cheated is that the software company, CogniSafe has taken new measures in order to help keep players safe from Internet gambling cheats.
CogniSafe has found it necessary to introduce the new software as the US efforts to outlaw the online gambling industry has not worked.
"This (protection software) is based on semantic technology that is used mainly in detection that gives the ability to monitor. It tries to understand the event and it can be 100% normal" said Shmuel Konforty, Chief Technical Officer at CogniSafe, "but if you detect a threat it can be diagnosed. It will look for programmes that show a threat in the system that works in real time?
Bots are the greatest danger for online casinos as well as for their customers as these programmes are designed to play based on a specific formula. More often than not, online players, or the casino operators, cannot detect the unfair advantage that these bots can create.
Representative Barney Frank is setting out to protect people from Internet gambling cheats in some of the regulations that he is trying to create for the American online gambling industry. Frank is endeavoring to have these regulations replace the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, which the Bush Administration created to make online gambling illegal.
